- 1 pound ground chicken (93% lean)
- 1 cup sharp white cheddar, freshly grated
- 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 yellow onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons smooth Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- Olive oil for cooking
- Buns for serving (optional)
- Lettuce, tomato, and other toppings (as desired)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, white cheddar, spinach, breadcrumbs, garlic, and onion. Mix gently to distribute evenly without overmixing.
- Add Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape into patties about 1/2 inch thick. Make a slight depression in the center of each patty.
- Chill the patties in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
- Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes until fully cooked.
- Let the burgers rest for 5 minutes before serving on buns with lettuce and tomato.
