Strawberry salsa is a fresh, vibrant blend of sweet strawberries, tangy lime, spicy jalapeño, and aromatic herbs—perfect for dipping or topping grilled meats.
Ingredients

- Juice and zest from 1 medium lime
- 1 ½ teaspoons honey or maple syrup
- Pinch of fine sea salt
- 1 pint of strawberries, hulled and diced
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped
- ½ small red onion, chopped
- ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Chips for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the lime zest, juice, honey or maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt. Whisk until well mixed.
- Dice the strawberries into small pieces and add them to the bowl.
- Finely chop the jalapeño and red onion, then add to the mixture.
- Add the chopped cilantro and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Gently stir all ingredients together until combined, being careful not to mash the strawberries.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Let sit for 30 minutes for best flavor, or serve immediately.
Notes
- Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
- Adjust the spice level by using more or less jalapeño.
- If cilantro isn’t your favorite, try mint or parsley instead.
- Best served fresh—avoid freezing.
