Description

Delightful strawberry cheesecake-filled rolls topped with a luscious cream cheese glaze, perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a sweet snack.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, and egg until combined. Pour into dry ingredients and stir until the dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in strawberries and strawberry jam.
  4. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to form a smooth paste.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle (12×18 inches) and spread the cinnamon sugar mixture followed by the cheesecake filling evenly over the dough. Roll tightly and cut into 12 rolls.
  6. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For glaze, combine cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk in a bowl. Beat until smooth.
  9. After baking, drizzle the cream cheese glaze over warm rolls and serve.

Notes

Best served warm with fresh strawberries or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
