Description

Steamed yeast dumplings, known as Dampfnudeln, made vegan and gluten-free.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup gluten-free flour
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm almond milk and sugar. Add yeast and let it activate for 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix gluten-free flour and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and coconut oil to the flour. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Add lemon juice and knead for 5 minutes.
  5. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
  6. Divide the dough into balls and place them in a steamer.
  7. Steam for 20 minutes until fluffy.
