Description

A hearty and comforting dish combining sausage gravy and biscuits in a casserole form.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned.
  3. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add milk gradually while stirring to avoid lumps.
  5. Cook until the mixture thickens.
  6. Add salt and pepper, then remove from heat.
  7. Cut biscuits into quarters and layer them in a greased casserole dish.
  8. Pour the sausage gravy over the biscuits.
  9. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
