Description

Oven-Fried Chicken is a delicious, crispy dish made with chicken thighs coated in seasoned breading and baked until golden brown. It’s a healthier alternative to traditional fried chicken and perfect for family dinners or celebrations.

  • 12 chicken thighs, patted dry
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare three shallow bowls: one with flour seasoned with salt and pepper, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  2. Coat each chicken thigh first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to help the coating stick.
  3. Pour the vegetable oil into a large baking dish and spread it evenly. Arrange the breaded chicken thighs in the dish without crowding them.
  4. Sprinkle paprika over the coated chicken for added flavor and color.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, then carefully turn each piece over and continue baking for another 30 minutes, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Remove from oven and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
