Ingredients

- 1 bottle of red wine (750ml)
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1/4 cup of brandy
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 5 cloves
- 2 star anise
Instructions
- Pour the red wine into a large pot.
- Add the orange and lemon slices.
- Stir in the brandy and sugar.
- Add the cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat until it simmers.
- Reduce heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Strain the mulled wine into mugs.
- Garnish with additional fruit slices if desired.
