Ingredients

  • Flatbread: 1 large (store-bought or homemade)
  • Tomato sauce: 1/2 cup (preferably homemade or high-quality store-bought)
  • Fresh mozzarella cheese: 200 grams (sliced or torn into pieces)
  • Fresh basil leaves: 1/4 cup (washed and dried)
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons (plus extra for drizzling)
  • Salt: to taste
  • Black pepper: to taste
  • Optional: Balsamic glaze for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) and place a pizza stone inside if you have one.
  2. Place the flatbread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Spread 1/2 cup of tomato sauce evenly over the flatbread, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Layer 200 grams of fresh mozzarella cheese over the tomato sauce.
  5. Bake the flatbread pizza in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the edges are golden.
  6. Remove from the oven and scatter 1/4 cup of fresh basil leaves over the hot pizza.
