Ingredients
- Flatbread: 1 large (store-bought or homemade)
- Tomato sauce: 1/2 cup (preferably homemade or high-quality store-bought)
- Fresh mozzarella cheese: 200 grams (sliced or torn into pieces)
- Fresh basil leaves: 1/4 cup (washed and dried)
- Olive oil: 2 tablespoons (plus extra for drizzling)
- Salt: to taste
- Black pepper: to taste
- Optional: Balsamic glaze for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) and place a pizza stone inside if you have one.
- Place the flatbread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread 1/2 cup of tomato sauce evenly over the flatbread, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Layer 200 grams of fresh mozzarella cheese over the tomato sauce.
- Bake the flatbread pizza in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the edges are golden.
- Remove from the oven and scatter 1/4 cup of fresh basil leaves over the hot pizza.
- Drizzle with olive oil and optional balsamic glaze, then slice and serve warm.
