- 1 cup glutinous rice
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 ripe mangoes
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the glutinous rice until the water runs clear.
- Soak the rice in water for 4-6 hours or overnight.
- Steam the rice for about 30 minutes until cooked.
- In a saucepan, combine coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Mix half of the coconut sauce with the cooked rice and let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Slice the mangoes into thin pieces.
- Serve the sticky rice with mango slices on the side.
- Drizzle with remaining coconut sauce and garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
- Use ripe mangoes for the best flavor.
- Adjust sweetness according to your preference.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
