Description

A hearty and comforting dish featuring layers of baked potatoes, cheese, and toppings.


Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot, boil the diced potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. Add sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
  5. Transfer half of the potato mixture to a greased baking dish.
  6. Layer half of the cheddar cheese and bacon on top.
  7. Add the remaining potato mixture and top with the rest of the cheese and bacon.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
