- Pizza dough (fresh homemade or store-bought)
- 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup Fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- Zest of 1 Lemon
- Juice of 1 Lemon
- 8 ounces Fresh mozzarella, sliced
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Black pepper, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the dough by making it from scratch or using store-bought and letting it come to room temperature.
- Slice the fresh mozzarella into half-inch thick pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
- Shape the pizza dough on a piece of parchment paper into a 9×13 inch oval or rectangle.
- Mix together olive oil, water, parsley, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create the flavor base.
- Make indentations in the dough, pour the lemon oil mixture over it, and scatter the mozzarella on top.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and bake the pizza for about 8 to 10 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
- Drizzle fresh lemon juice and sprinkle Parmesan and parsley on top before serving.
Notes
