Description

A delightful twist on traditional pizza featuring zesty lemon flavors, fresh mozzarella, and aromatic herbs.


Ingredients

  • Pizza dough (fresh homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • Zest of 1 Lemon
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 8 ounces Fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by making it from scratch or using store-bought and letting it come to room temperature.
  2. Slice the fresh mozzarella into half-inch thick pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Shape the pizza dough on a piece of parchment paper into a 9×13 inch oval or rectangle.
  4. Mix together olive oil, water, parsley, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create the flavor base.
  5. Make indentations in the dough, pour the lemon oil mixture over it, and scatter the mozzarella on top.
  6. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and bake the pizza for about 8 to 10 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
  7. Drizzle fresh lemon juice and sprinkle Parmesan and parsley on top before serving.
