Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup fruit preserves (or cheese)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in another bowl.
  3. Add yeast mixture and egg to the dry ingredients.
  4. Knead dough until smooth, about 5 minutes.
  5. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Roll out dough and cut into circles.
  8. Place filling in the center of each circle.
  9. Pinch edges to seal.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
