Quick and easy instant pot refried beans.
Ingredients

- 1 pound dry pinto beans
- 4 cups water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the beans and remove any debris.
- Add beans, water, onion, garlic, cumin, chili powder, and salt to the instant pot.
- Close the lid and set to high pressure for 40 minutes.
- Allow natural pressure release for 20 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
- Drain excess liquid if necessary and mash beans to desired consistency.
Notes
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
