A quick and delightful dish featuring tender beef, flavorful vegetables, and noodles coated in a savory hoisin sauce.

- 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 8 ounces noodles (lo mein, rice noodles, or spaghetti)
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 carrots, julienned
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until tender but firm. Drain and set aside.
- Whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Sear the sliced beef for 2 to 3 minutes until browned, then remove and set aside.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan, stirring for 30 seconds. Then, add sliced red bell pepper, julienned carrots, and broccoli florets; stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Return the cooked beef to the pan, add noodles, and pour the sauce over everything. Toss to combine and heat for an additional 2 minutes.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, and serve hot.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute beef with tofu or tempeh. Experiment with different vegetables according to your preference.
