  • Soy sauce: 1/4 cup (about 60 ml)
  • Fresh ginger: 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons (about 30 ml)
  • Black pepper: 1/2 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Sesame seeds: 2 tablespoons (for garnish)
  • Green onions: 2, sliced (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by whisking together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, grated ginger, olive oil, and black pepper. Coat the chicken and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the honey garlic sauce by boiling the reserved marinade in a saucepan for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the marinated chicken for 25-30 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
