- 1.5 lbs White Fish Fillets
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, finely grated
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs (Panko or Italian)
- 1/4 cup Olive Oil
- 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper (or to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- Rinse fish fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- Season fish with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, and oregano.
- Press the top side of each fish fillet into the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place coated fillets on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Check for doneness and broil for an extra 1 to 2 minutes if desired.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil the fish for a minute or two at the end of the cooking process. Consider serving with lemon wedges.
