Ingredients
- Firm tofu: 400 grams (14 oz)
- Cornstarch: 1/4 cup (30 grams)
- Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds: 2 tablespoons
- Fresh herbs: Such as cilantro or green onions
- Additional soy sauce: For drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture for about 15-20 minutes.
- Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch bite-sized cubes.
- Marinate the tofu cubes in a mixture of soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper for 15 minutes.
- Coat the marinated tofu with cornstarch, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) and lightly spray the basket with olive oil.
- Place the coated tofu cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket and spray the tops with olive oil.
- Air fry the tofu for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
