A delightful dish combining richness of cream with bright lemon zest, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Pecorino Romano cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix grated Pecorino Romano cheese with all-purpose flour. Dredge each chicken breast in the mixture.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Transfer seared chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  5. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute. Add lemon juice and chicken broth, stirring to combine, then simmer for 5 minutes. Add heavy cream and stir until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve chicken with creamy lemon sauce drizzled over it and garnish with parsley.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use almond flour instead of regular flour. Add lemon zest for extra flavor or substitute lime juice for a twist.
