- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 300 g pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your choice)
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, plus extra for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve half a cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.
- Season chicken with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook chicken until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Add butter and garlic, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic in butter, then add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, cooking until slightly thickened.
- Add drained pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. Stir in chopped parsley, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
Notes
For lighter options, use chicken thighs or substitute with low-fat cream. Fresh garlic is preferred for flavor.
