Description

This is a sweet, soft bread that pulls apart easily, coated in cinnamon and sugar.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, sugar, salt, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour, covered.
  5. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut into squares.
  7. Dip each square in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Layer the squares in a greased loaf pan.
  9. Let the dough rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes.

  • Ensure the milk is warm but not hot.
  • You can add nuts for extra crunch.
