Description

Chicken stir fry is a quick and healthy dish made with tender chicken, fresh vegetables, and a flavorful sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken breast (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 6 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 inch piece Ginger (minced)
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil (for cooking)
  • 2 Green onions (chopped, for garnish)
  • 1 Red bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 cup Broccoli florets
  • 3 cups Cooked rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and mince the garlic and ginger.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch to create the sauce.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. Add garlic and ginger; stir for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add red bell pepper and broccoli. Stir-fry for 3–5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Stir and cook for another minute until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier result.
  • Tamari is a great gluten-free soy sauce alternative.
