Description
Cherry summer treats are refreshing popsicles made with fresh cherries and cherry juice, perfect for cooling down on hot days.
Ingredients
- Fresh cherries: 2 cups, pitted and chopped
- Cherry juice: 2 cups
- Sugar: 1/4 cup
- Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
- Water: 1/2 cup (optional)
- Popsicle molds: 6-8
Instructions
- Wash the cherries thoroughly and remove the pits.
- Chop the cherries into small pieces and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cherry juice, sugar, and lemon juice, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- If desired, add water to dilute the mixture.
- Fold the chopped cherries into the cherry juice mixture.
- Pour the mixture into popsicle molds, leaving space at the top.
- Freeze for at least 4-6 hours until solid.
- To serve, run warm water over the molds to loosen the popsicles.
Notes
- Choose ripe cherries for the best flavor.
- Store leftover popsicles in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two months.
