Description

Creamy and cheesy scalloped potatoes baked to perfection.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the chopped onion and garlic over the potatoes.
  5. Add half of the cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Pour heavy cream and milk over the layers.
  8. Season with salt and pepper.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Can be made ahead and reheated.
