Description

A creamy and cheesy potato gratin dish.


Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom of the dish.
  4. Mix heavy cream, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use a mandoline for even potato slices.
  • Feel free to add herbs for extra flavor.
