Description

A delightful summer dessert featuring fresh pineapple grilled to perfection with brown sugar, cayenne pepper, and vanilla extract for a sweet and spicy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fresh whole pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into 8 spears
  • 1/2 cup of light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • Vegetable oil spray for grill

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly spray the grill grates with vegetable oil.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, cayenne pepper, vanilla extract, and kosher salt.
  3. Coat pineapple spears with the seasoning mixture evenly.
  4. Grill the pineapple for 2-3 minutes on each side until caramelized.
  5. Serve warm, optionally garnished with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

For a different flavor, try substituting honey for brown sugar or leaving out cayenne pepper for a milder dish.
