- 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the carrots and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Stir in brown sugar, salt, pepper, and water.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer for 10 minutes until carrots are tender.
- Remove lid and cook for an additional 5 minutes to thicken the glaze.
Notes
- Feel free to add herbs like thyme for extra flavor.
- You can substitute honey for brown sugar if desired.
