Description

A flavorful pasta dish featuring blackened shrimp and cavatappi pasta.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cavatappi pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp blackening seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook cavatappi pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, toss shrimp with blackening seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add shrimp and cook until blackened, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  5. Add garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute.
  6. Add cherry tomatoes and cook until softened.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Cook until heated through.
  8. Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to combine.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
