Description

A vibrant and refreshing drink that combines hibiscus tea, strawberries, and lemon juice for a perfect balance of flavors.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 hibiscus tea bags or 2 tablespoons dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1/2 cup strawberries (fresh)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 23 tablespoons maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Optional: Extra sliced strawberries, lemon slices, and/or fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Boil the water in a kettle.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and steep the hibiscus tea for 5-7 minutes.
  3. While steeping, prepare strawberry puree by blending sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup cooled hibiscus tea.
  4. In a pitcher, combine remaining cooled hibiscus tea, strawberry puree, lemon juice, and maple syrup. Stir well and adjust sweetness if needed.
  5. Serve over ice and garnish with additional strawberries, lemon slices, and mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Store leftover refresher in the refrigerator for up to 2 days without ice to avoid dilution.
