Ingredients
- Chicken: 2 cups of cooked, shredded chicken
- BBQ Sauce: 1 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce
- Slider Buns: 12 small slider buns
- Cheese: 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- Onions: 1/2 cup of finely chopped red onions
- Pickles: Optional, sliced pickles
- Butter: 2 tablespoons of melted butter
- Seasonings: Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by shredding it into bite-sized pieces.
- If using store-bought BBQ sauce, skip to the next step; otherwise, make your own by combining BBQ sauce with apple cider vinegar and honey in a saucepan and heating it.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and slice the slider buns in half.
- Layer the shredded chicken on the bottom halves of the buns, drizzle with BBQ sauce, and top with cheese and onions.
- Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and place them over the fillings.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and the buns are toasted.
