Description

A delightful dish combining the tangy flavors of balsamic vinegar and the sweetness of honey, perfect for busy weeknights or special family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade by combining balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Marinate the chicken in the mixture for at least 30 minutes, ideally 2-4 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and let the chicken sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Prepare a baking dish by lining it with aluminum foil or parchment paper, greasing lightly with olive oil.
  5. Place the marinated chicken into the baking dish, pouring remaining marinade over the top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving, garnished with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

Add fresh herbs for enhanced flavor. Avoid overcrowding the baking dish for even cooking.
