Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large sweet potatoes (about 1.5 lbs or 680 g)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and peel the sweet potatoes, then cut them into long, slender shapes, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a large bowl, combine the cut sweet potatoes with olive oil, sea salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the seasoned sweet potato fries in a single layer.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. For extra crispiness, bake for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Choose firm, unblemished sweet potatoes for the best results.
- For spicy fries, add cayenne pepper or chili powder to the seasoning.
- For herb-infused fries, mix in fresh or dried herbs like rosemary or thyme.
