Ingredients

- 1 cup black beans, cooked
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup bell pepper, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 whole grain burger buns
- Lettuce and tomato for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
- In a bowl, mash the black beans until smooth.
- Add breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, garlic, soy sauce, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined and form into patties.
- Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Serve on whole grain buns with lettuce and tomato.
Notes
- You can add your favorite sauces for extra flavor.
- Store leftover patties in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Feel free to freeze uncooked patties for later use.
