Description

Crispy and flavorful air fryer falafel made with chickpeas and spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Blend until coarsely mixed.
  3. Add olive oil and flour to the mixture. Blend until the mixture holds together.
  4. Form the mixture into small balls or patties.
  5. Place the falafel in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Serve with tahini sauce or in pita bread.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
