Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and prepare a mixing bowl and electric mixer.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix peanut butter, sugar, and egg until smooth and creamy, about 1–2 minutes.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on an ungreased baking sheet, 1 inch apart.
- Flatten each ball with a fork to create a criss-cross pattern on top.
- Bake for about 10 minutes, or until edges are firm but centers remain soft.
- Cool cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Do not overmix the dough to avoid tough cookies.
- Use brown sugar instead of white for a deeper flavor.
- Add a pinch of salt or vanilla extract for enhanced taste.
- Optional add-ins include chocolate chips, oats, or chopped nuts.
- Cookies can be frozen for up to 3 months.
