Description

Classic peanut butter cookies made with just three ingredients—peanut butter, sugar, and egg. They are soft, chewy, and full of rich peanut flavor, making them a timeless and easy-to-make treat for all ages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and prepare a mixing bowl and electric mixer.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. In a large bowl, mix peanut butter, sugar, and egg until smooth and creamy, about 1–2 minutes.
  4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on an ungreased baking sheet, 1 inch apart.
  5. Flatten each ball with a fork to create a criss-cross pattern on top.
  6. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until edges are firm but centers remain soft.
  7. Cool cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the dough to avoid tough cookies.
  • Use brown sugar instead of white for a deeper flavor.
  • Add a pinch of salt or vanilla extract for enhanced taste.
  • Optional add-ins include chocolate chips, oats, or chopped nuts.
  • Cookies can be frozen for up to 3 months.
